- A professional photographer I began my career in 1987 specializing in wildlife photography. After a few years of hiking in dozens of national parks, pursuing whales in the Baja, wild Flamingos in Mexico, and nature of every description in the Florida Everglades, I finally realized that editors preferred my horse pictures! I guess that shouldn’t have been a surprise, they are a subject I know well and enjoy the most.
